Too Attached </3

A personal concept idea surrounding feelings of loss and not wanting to move on from your childhood – holding onto nostalgia, loved ones and childhood memories.
In this series of image making, I aimed to have a collection of photos that piece by piece represent my feelings towards letting go of old personal items such as stuffed toys, my childhood bedroom and leaving to live away from the place I called home.
This concept recognises the departure from all our childhoods and the fear that follows that.
This idea stems from the common feelings that students feel when ‘flying the nest’ for the first time and how this part of life can be hard, having to say goodbye to everything you’ve ever known, and the anxiety attached to growing up.
